A Friend's Fight.
My dear friend is fighting for her life. Would you pray for her? Her name is Carol and she has an aggressive, spreading cancer and the doctors are running out of answers. Carol has been on all kinds of kemo, so her body has, and is, going through great turmoil.
Carol and I have been in each others lives forever. It feels that way because we met over fifty years ago. Now that's a wad of calendars. We went to school together, I met my husband while on vacation with her family, we had our first children, both sons, within four months of each other, I did the eulogy at her second son's funeral, and on and on our lives have been inextricably woven together. Celebrations, sadness, losses, and births do that. They seam you at the heart.
The video embedded in this site is a "moment" in Carol's unfolding story. It is a moment she and I will not forget of how God spoke to her (and me) in a deeply personal way. And while I hope it will encourage you or someone you know who is struggling to hear God's voice I do have an ulterior motive for posting it.
At this juncture Carol's strength is very poor. Getting out of bed is a major exhausting task and because of her physical weakness she feels she has no way to contribute to the lives of others...which is Carol's heart, to bless others. She is one of the most tender-hearted people I have ever known. So every few days as the number of viewers goes up I call or go over to tell her how many more lives her story has touched. Your views are like "Get Well" cards.
So thank you for taking eight minutes of your time for my friend and thank you for sharing this site or video with others. I deeply appreciate your thoughtfulness.
